Hearty Chili

A delicious filling and easy comfort meal. Perfect for cold weather and when you need to make something quick and easy for supper.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger, thawed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • T chili powder
  • 1 tsp chipotle seasoning
  • 2 T tomato paste
  • 1 quart tomatoes, canned I use tomatoes that I canned so you can use those, or you can buy some. Just look for some that are around 32 oz.
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 1 can kidney beans (15.5 oz), drained and rinsed
  • 1 can black beans (15 oz), drained and rinsed

Instructions

  • First, brown the hamburger in a stock pot. Remove from the heat, drain the fat. Return to the heat and add the seasonings, garlic and tomato paste. Fry together for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes uncovered.
  • Serve with sour cream, cheese, and cornbread or cinnamon rolls!
