Alfredo Sauce

A smooth and delightful sauce. We make it with milk (not cream) and still so good!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 T flour, all purpose
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups milk we have used whole or 2%
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Either shredded or grated

Instructions

  • First, melt butter in medium saucepan. Add flour and salt. Stir until smooth.

  • Add milk (if you decided you would like to use cream do 1 cup cream and 1 cup milk) to saucepan and stir frequently until it reaches a boil.

  • Boil and stir for 2 minutes. (1 minute if using cream)

  • Next, add garlic powder and parmesan cheese whisk until well combined and cheese is melted. Enjoy over noodles or noodles and cooked chicken!

Notes

** We love having this as an easy meal. 16 oz of your favorite noodle seems to be the perfect proportion of noodles to sauce. **
